Check this place out. It's called 41 Pounds. They claim to eliminate most of the junk mail that you get every day. In return, they'll donate 50% of their profits to support education, conservation and reforestation efforts. It's $41 to sign up. Here's some stats I pulled from their site:

• Individually, an average of 41 pounds of junk mail are sent to every adult each year. Approximately 44% goes to a landfill unopened.


• Your name is typically worth 3 to 20 cents each time it is sold.


• $320 million of local taxes are used to dispose of unsolicited mail each year.
